Wir sind einer der größten Produzenten und Vertreiber von Biokohle in Europa und verkaufen unsere CO2-Credits an renommierte Unternehmen weltweit. Der Bau mehrerer neuer Anlagen zur Produktion von Biochar und regenerativer Wärme ist bereits in Planung. Um diese positive Dynamik aufrechtzuerhalten, suchen wir eine:n Finance & Accounting Manager (all genders). Diese Position ist entscheidend für die Sicherstellung der finanziellen Gesundheit und die Unterstützung des ehrgeizigen Wachstums von Novocarbo durch effiziente und genaue Buchhaltungsverfahren sowie die Implementierung neuer Unternehmenssysteme.

Diese Aufgaben sind im Fokus Deiner Rolle

Allgemeine Buchhaltungsaufgaben:

Du übernimmst die Verantwortung für alle Aspekte der Buchhaltung, einschließlich des Tagesgeschäfts (Rechnungsstellung, konzerninterne Transaktionen, Reisekosten, Zahlungen etc.) und der transaktionalen Aufsicht innerhalb aller unserer Buchhaltungssysteme.
Du stellst durch den Abschluss zum Monats- und Jahresende sicher, dass die Konten korrekt abgestimmt sind.
Du erstellst umfassende Finanzberichte für die gesamte Novocarbo-Gruppe und gewährleistest die Einhaltung aller rechtlichen Berichtspflichten.

Finanzberichterstattung & Compliance:

Du bist Ansprechpartner:in für externe und interne Steuerangelegenheiten, einschließlich Umsatzsteuer, Lohnbuchhaltung und Sonderfälle.
Du stellst die Einhaltung von Rechnungslegungsrichtlinien und -verfahren sicher und gewährleistest, dass finanzielle Transaktionen gemäß den GAAP und/oder anderen anwendbaren Rechnungslegungsstandards (z. B. IFRS) erfasst werden.
Du führst aussagekräftige Finanzanalysen durch und unterstützt das Management bei Finanzplanung, Budgetierung, Abweichungsberichterstattung und Prognoseaktivitäten.
Du erstellst monatliche Finanzberichte, einschließlich Cashflow-Statements, für mehrere juristische Einheiten sowie Berichte für relevante Stakeholder, z. B. Aktionäre, Banken und öffentliche Fonds.

Prozessverbesserung & Zusammenarbeit:

Du arbeitest eng mit funktionsübergreifenden Teams wie Vertrieb und Supply Chain Management zusammen, um sicherzustellen, dass die finanziellen Ziele aufeinander abgestimmt sind und zum Gesamterfolg des Unternehmens beitragen.
Du trägst zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung unserer Buchhaltungstools und kaufmännischen Prozesse bei, einschließlich des Order-to-Invoice-Zyklus und der Kostenabwicklung.
Du beteiligst dich an Ad-hoc-Projekten, die deine Finanz- und Controlling-Kenntnisse brauchen.

Dein Profil

Fachliche Qualifikation:

Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung im Rechnungswesen oder einer ähnlichen Position in einem internationalen Umfeld
Abgeschlossenes Studium in den Bereichen Finanzen, Rechnungswesen, Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Betriebswirtschaft oder einem ähnlichen Gebiet. Eine professionelle Buchhaltungszertifizierung ist von Vorteil.
Fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in Microsoft Excel und Finanzmodellierung; Erfahrung mit Power BI ist ein klarer Vorteil.
Erfahrung mit ERP-Systemen, Dynamics365 und Grundkenntnisse in DATEV sind sehr wünschenswert.
Fließende Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift sind zwingend erforderlich; gute Englischkenntnisse sind von Vorteil.

About this role

At Novocarbo, we work as a team to solve one of the most important problems of our time: our goal is to store 100 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere annually, making a significant contribution to achieving climate goals.

We are one of the largest producers and distributors of biochar in Europe and sell our Carbon Removal Credits to renowned companies worldwide. Several new sites for the production of biochar and regenerative heat are already in planning. To continue this positive momentum, we are looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager (all genders). This position is crucial for ensuring the financial health and supporting the ambitious growth of Novocarbo through efficient and accurate accounting practices and the implementation of new company systems.

Following tasks are in focus of your role

General Accounting Tasks:
- Manage all aspects of accounting, including day-to-day operations (invoicing, inter-company transactions, travel expenses, payments, etc.) and transactional oversight within all our accounting tools.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accurate reconciliations of accounts.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements for the entire Novocarbo group, ensuring compliance with all legal reporting requirements.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Serve as the contact person for external and internal tax matters, including VAT, payroll, and special cases.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and ensure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and/or other accounting standards applicable (e.g. IFRS)
- Conduct insightful financial analyses, supporting management with financial planning, budgeting, variance reporting, and forecasting activities.
- Prepare monthly financial reports including cash flow statements for multiple legal entities as well as reports to relevant stakeholders, such as shareholders, banks, public funds.
Process Improvement & Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams like Sales and Supply Chain Management to ensure financial objectives are aligned and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our accounting tools and commercial processes, including the order-to-invoice cycle and expense handling.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects that leverage your finance and controlling skills.

Your profile

These are your professional qualifications we’d appreciate:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role in an international environment
Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, or a similar field. A professional accounting certification is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with PowerBI is a strong advantage.
Experience with ERP systems, Dynamics365 and a basic knowledge of DATEV are highly desirable.
Fluent communication skills in German are mandatory; strong English skills are a plus.
