Wir sind einer der größten Produzenten und Anbieter von Biochar in Europa und verkaufen unsere CO2-Credits an renommierte Unternehmen weltweit. Weitere Standorte zur Produktion von Biochar und erneuerbarer Energie sind bereits in Planung. Um diese positive Dynamik aufrechtzuerhalten, suchen wir Dich als Finance Manager (all genders). Diese Position ist entscheidend für das Wachstum von Novocarbo durch das Aufsetzen und Aufrechthalten effizienter Buchhaltungsstandards sowie die unternehmensweite Einführung neuer Systeme & Tools.

Diese Aufgaben sind im Fokus Deiner Rolle

Allgemeine Buchhaltungsaufgaben:

Du übernimmst die Verantwortung für die regelmäßige Buchhaltung, das Tagesgeschäfts (Rechnungsstellung, konzerninterne Transaktionen, Reisekosten, Zahlungen etc.) und der transaktionalen Aufsicht innerhalb aller unserer Buchhaltungssysteme.
Du übernimmst die Verantwortung für die korrekte Durchführung der regelmäßigen Monats- und Jahresabschlüsse.
Du erstellst detaillierte Reportings für alle Novocarbo Gesellschaften und übernimmst Verantwortung für die Einhaltung unserer gesetzlicher Berichtspflicht.

Finanzberichterstattung & Compliance:

Du bist Ansprechpartner:in für externe und interne Steuerangelegenheiten, einschließlich Umsatzsteuer, Unterstützung bei der Lohnbuchhaltung und Sonderfälle.
Du stellst sicher, dass Richtlinien zur Rechnungslegung eingehalten werden und erfasst unsere finanziellen Transaktionen gemäß GAAP und/oder anderen anwendbaren Standards (z. B. IFRS).
Du erstellst Analysen und unterstützt bei Finanzplanung, Budgetierung sowie der Erstellung von Abweichungsberichten und Forecastings.
Du erstellst monatliche Finanzberichte (z.B. Cashflow-Statements) für unsere Novocarbo Gesellschaften und stellst Berichte für relevante Stakeholder zusammen, z. B. Gesellschafter, Banken und öffentliche Geldgeber.

Prozessverbesserung & Zusammenarbeit:

In enger Zusammenarbeit stimmst Du unsere finanzielle Ziele eng mit anderen Teams (z.B. Vertrieb, Supply Chain) ab, um gemeinschaftlich Novocarbos Erfolg sicherzustellen.
Du trägst zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung unserer Toolnutzung und Prozesse bei, einschließlich des Order-to-Invoice-Zyklus und der Kostenabwicklung.
Du beteiligst dich an Ad-hoc-Projekten, die von deiner Finance & Controlling Perspektive profitieren.

Dein Profil

Diese fachlichen Qualifikationen schätzen wir:

Du hast ein abgeschlossenes Studium mit Schwerpunkt in Finance, Accounting, Wirtschaftswissenschaften oder Betriebswirtschaft. Eine zusätzliche Zertifizierung deiner Fähigkeiten ist von Vorteil.
Du hast mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung in einer Position mit Fokus auf Accounting, bevorzugt in einem internationalen Umfeld.
Du bringst fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in Microsoft Excel und Financial Modelling mit; vorherige Erfahrung mit Power BI ist von Vorteil.
Du kannst gut mit IT-Tools: Vorherige Erfahrung mit ERP Systemen wie z.B. Dynamics365 oder grundlegende Kenntnisse in DATEV sind unbedingt wünschenswert. Erfahrung mit Projektmanagement-Tools wie Notion oder Asana sind ebenfalls vorteilhaft.
Du kommunizierst fließend auf Deutsch, fließende Englischkenntnisse sind von Vorteil.

About this role

At Novocarbo, we work as a team to solve one of the most important problems of our time: our goal is to store 100 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere annually, making a significant contribution to achieving climate goals.

We are one of the largest producers and distributors of biochar in Europe and sell our Carbon Removal Credits to renowned companies worldwide. Several new sites for the production of biochar and regenerative heat are already in planning. To continue this positive momentum, we are looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager (all genders). This position is crucial for ensuring the financial health and supporting the ambitious growth of Novocarbo through efficient and accurate accounting practices and the implementation of new company systems.

Following tasks are in focus of your role

General Accounting Tasks:
- Manage all aspects of accounting, including day-to-day operations (invoicing, inter-company transactions, travel expenses, payments, etc.) and transactional oversight within all our accounting tools.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accurate reconciliations of accounts.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements for the entire Novocarbo group, ensuring compliance with all legal reporting requirements.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Serve as the contact person for external and internal tax matters, including VAT, payroll, and special cases.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and ensure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and/or other accounting standards applicable (e.g. IFRS)
- Conduct insightful financial analyses, supporting management with financial planning, budgeting, variance reporting, and forecasting activities.
- Prepare monthly financial reports including cash flow statements for multiple legal entities as well as reports to relevant stakeholders, such as shareholders, banks, public funds.
Process Improvement & Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams like Sales and Supply Chain Management to ensure financial objectives are aligned and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our accounting tools and commercial processes, including the order-to-invoice cycle and expense handling.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects that leverage your finance and controlling skills.

Your profile

These are your professional qualifications we’d appreciate:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role in an international environment
Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, or a similar field. A professional accounting certification is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with PowerBI is a strong advantage.
Experience with ERP systems, Dynamics365 and a basic knowledge of DATEV are highly desirable.
Fluent communication skills in German are mandatory; strong English skills are a plus.
